On the evening of 11th August 2022 i set up my modular synth in the back yard and recorded a series of improvisations, as part of my preparation for a forthcoming gig, at which I will be improvising along with some spoken word artists.

I'd set up the patch over the last couple of weeks, and was now ready to get familiar with it so I could perform comfortably. I recorded a series of tracks, which makes up this collection.

I also had a WAV recorder running throughout, so if you listen carefully you can hear the ambience of suburban summer evening in Preston, Lancashire. Including a dog which decided to join in at one point.

This entire album is staggeringly good, but my favourite is Slowly Coming Together, which does indeed seem to slowly distill all that is Jilk into one track. Amazing work, and wonderful to come across through the subscription library. swansither
