about

A collection of tracks recorded with the Korg MS20-Mini during my first couple of weeks with it.

I wasn't in a particularly good place mentally at the time, and a few of these tracks were recorded during some really difficult evenings. I couldn't listen back to them for a while but now, on reflection, I think they're actually some of my best work. Certainly some of my most emotional material.

It was a cathartic process, as much as it was an experimental one - ie learning a new synth.

Grok was a term invented by Robert E Heinlein in his 1961 SciFi novel Stranger In A Strange Land, meaning "to understand intuitively or by empathy, to establish rapport with" and "to empathize or communicate sympathetically (with); also, to experience enjoyment.

It's also "Korg" backwards
